Nain to Mt Tabor
Another amazing day here. We left early this morning to travel to the small town of Nain then went on to Cana, the place of Jesus's first miracle. Of course all the little tourist shops are called The First Miracle and they are full of trinkets and bottles of Cana wine. We went to the Wedding Church and came upon four Filipino couples renewing their wedding vows. The afternoon was spent up at Mt Tabor where we had Mass in a beautiful chapel. Now at last here's some photos. When I get more time, I'll add an explanation of each photo. Enjoy!

Hi Guys
ReplyDeleteGood to get some pictures up at last. Who would have thought that internet connectivity would be a problem. Need some descriptions with those photos Paul.
Jesus is the kind of guy you want at a party, turning water into wine. I hope it was a Sav Blanc variety.
Sounds like you are having a busy, but fun, time.
Talk soon, Marc
Hi Marc. To comment on each photo will take forever, Some are clearly self explanatory. The monk had an enormous key to open the door to the chapel where we got lucky enough to see inside. Apparently it is a rare occurrence for it to be opened. The top two pics here were at the River Jordan.. The danger signs relate to mine fields and there's plenty of them. The meal is typical of the food here. All extremely good and very fresh and pretty much fat free here. Breakfasts are amazing. The table & chairs pic is in our room here in Tiberias. It seems to only have been provided to the couples rooms. There was a bottle of wine and a plate of fresh fruit, plus bottled water, all complimentary. The fruit has been renewed today. It is incredibly hot here, but bearable. Plenty of water is being consumed.
